Took my two grandchildren, 12 and 10, for the first time this morning. Even though we arrived 15 minutes early, we had to wait in line for tickets. Wasn't so bad, for the amount of people the line moved quickly. We directly to the Mermaid show and then to the fantastic water park. For the small price of admission, it is a fabulous place to spend the day. Didn't know food and drinks are allowed to be brought in, so we purchased the normal amusement park food. Cost about $10.00 each for a lunch and drink. Bring your own and the value is unbelievable. Will be going back.

What a beautiful place! We went there to spend my birthday and I enjoyed so much. We saw the Mermaid show, spent some time at the Buccaneer Bay and then we travel in our kayaks down the river. Nature is amazing in the Weeki Wachee park. I recommended it 100%.
The spring is the Only thing to effectively combat a Florida scorcher. It cools you quick!!
Lovely place to visit! Mermaid shows daily. Also includes wildlife show and boat tours. Water slides on weekends and summer. I highly recommend renting a kayak and going down the river it's stunning. I went at the end of November and was even able to see some fall colors on the leaves.
Love kayaking here! I've done it twice now and it's still amazing. We got to see manatees on this cold day in October. The staff at the kayak center and the pickup point are fantastic. They're so friendly and helpful, great customer service! They will give you all the details you need, remember - when in doubt always go left. They help you get in the kayak and off the kayak. I like that they changed the end time to "just get there before 6pm" because then we don't feel like we needed to rush or speed paddle. I highly recommend, so much fun! Oh, and thanks to the guys at the kayak pickup spot for the great lunch recommendation, BeckyJacks.
We had a full day of fun with kids.
The boat ride was lovely, not too long, very informative and enjoyable.
