Had my birthday dinner there. It was my first visit to Guido's. The lasagna portion was impressive and delicious. The service was pretty quick too. It was neat to read the history of the place. I will return.

We were really disappointed & annoyed, a number of us from our group got really sick after eating there we will never go back or recommend. Even if we didn't get sick we still wouldn't go back because the food was really not that great, the sauce did not taste like good italian sauce should, maybe that's what got us so sick, and it was not a great atmosphere either so overall experience was a total 0, sad to say. I do not like to post negative but in this case for how sick I got from there as well as others from our group and when brought to their attention they were in denial about their food.

Always had good pizza here. The Chicago beef sandwich is good too. I usually go before the crowds and have good service most of the time.

The food is okay, smaller portions. What is unacceptable is the wait staff. Rude and snatch things from my hand.I don't put up with this from anybody. No Southern Charm here. If your looking for the menus, they are sunk in the back of the cheap home made racks at every table. The Waitress doesn't know how to act. If this is how Chicago people act, I will never visit there. I usually tip 20% of the bill, but I gave her a 25 cents. She had the nerve to complain to the other waitresses about her tip.

First of all, they don't know how to make Italian food. It was not tasteful at all. Also, the staff was rather short with us, and it took multiple times of asking for us to receive what we asked for. Food did not come out right, either. There was a lot of food not cooked properly. And the biggest thing for this one star rating is the fact that our party got food poisoning!
