We are new to Spring Hill and were recently given a new puppy, told she is Chihuahua. We tried Advanced since it pretty much across the street from our new neighborhood. Boy are we sure glad we did!! Dr. Mike and his staff are marvelous. His prices are extremely fair. Dr. Mike told us our new puppy is a mix of several different little dogs: Rat Terrier, Jack Russell, Dachshund, Chihuahua, and more than like others. We are so happy with this veterinarian office. Super friendly and personable staff, make you feel right at home. Dr Kern is very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to explain anything to you. He's also pretty funny and easy-going. Entire staff was extremely comforting when I had to put my rat down. I recently moved to Tampa, but still take my rats to Dr Kern.
Dr Kern and his staff have been our vet from day one after moving here from south Florida, knowledgeable in all phases of pet care ,has done surgeries for our pets and is compassionate and caring ,no matter what the problem they always go the extra mile.
My daughter's Dwarf Hamster was pretty sick. They examined Snowball aka Bitey and tested him for possible ringworms or scabies. Though the test came back negative the Dr. did inform me of my options and that the Hamster was geriatric and very thin. I ultimately decided to have him put down, so he wouldn't suffer anymore. The staff was so amazing, loving, and caring. And they only charged me $25.
I brought in my 6 month old ringtail lemur for a regular check up. 1st time seeing Dr. Kern. He was awesome. He spent time to go over the basics, gave advice and answered all my questions about lemurs. The staff was nice as well. Definitely worth the hour drive from my house! We will be going back!
