These guys are amazing. I had the greatest experience with this company and it all started when Nancy answered the phone. I was completely stressed out trying to figure out how we were going to orchestrate these moves because we sold our home in Florida and didn't have another one to move to by the time we needed to move out. Luckily this didn't make us homeless as our main home is in Pennsylvania but we needed a place to store all of our possessions in Florida until we bought a new home which happened to be over a month later. Luckily Nancy runs the storage part at American First Storage, which is where are items are held now. We even went to the storage facility while they were loading our items in because I forgot something precious that was left in a drawer that was in a piece of furniture put into the moving van as one of the first items. The guys were so sweet and allowed me to hang out with them until we got to that drawer and my item was retrieved. They are consummate professionals and took apart my beds with extreme precision, taking care too bag all of the small parts and carefully take them to the larger parts. I told them that they must have been experts at doing puzzles because the way they loaded that truck left no room in between each item.
Drop off several weeks later, was not nearly as bad as the pick up. The two gentlemen were much more professional and helpful. But the unpacking process has been HORRIFIC! We are about 75% done and so far have accumulated $300 worth of broken, damaged, or missing items. We have called and emailed several to discuss with Lee and of course have gotten absolutely NO response!
I know that they have changed their business to include a new primary partner which has greatly improved their service. The new partner is one of the most caring people you would ever want to meet or do business with.
There was no way that I could have done this without them. They saved me and my husband who had recent surgeries making it impossible for us to lift any of the things that were put on that truck. I even had to call Nancy the week before and see if there was any way that someone could come help me pack up my house. I am disabled with spinal cord damage having broken my neck 18 years previous and I didn't realize exactly how much I had left still to pack in a short period of time before they rescheduled to come load the truck. She sent over a woman that was like a machine. I have never seen someone so capable and organized in my life. We couldn't even be there that day because we were scheduled to go out with a realtor looking at new houses 2 hours away and she single-handedly finished packing my home in one day. This would have taken me three weeks to complete and she did it in one day and all I did was just take her to each room and tell her what I needed.
If giving '0' Stars was an option I ABSOLUTELY would!
Excellent service! These people really care about their customers. Nancy was very helpful from the very first phone call until the end. Bill and his crew did a great job at loading and unloading our belongings. They were on time and none of my belongings were damaged. Highly recommend!
We were told the movers would handle certain things--which they did not--and would be arriving around noon. They were six hours late! We didn't know they were going to be this late until we called several times to get the information ourselves from Lee and Tom. When the movers did finally arrive, one was beyond rude and extremely unprofessional! We made no comments at the time because the gentlemen would then have possession of our items.
I just scheduled the other part of the move today where they're going to be unloading the storage areas, I had so much stuff I needed to take two storage areas, and drive them the two hours to our new home and unload not only their truck but another truck that we're bringing down from Pennsylvania. I am confident that these guys can do the job as well as they did the job for me in March. I am looking forward to another Smooth Move from Lee's Moving Service. More to follow in June.
If your experience was more than four months ago you should give them another try. I know you will be pleased with Nancy running the show.
I would like to get more information about the bad experience Ms. Jillian Thomas had with Lee's moving Service. Were you moving from one location in Spring Hill to another or was this an out of town move either coming or going?
Lee (the owner) is impossible to get a hold! If you don't ask all your questions at the beginning, then you better just forget it!
If you can help it go with ANYONE ELSE!!! What an absolutely terrible experience.
I then needed an invoice, since my job funded our move, and it must have taken at least 5 phone calls (with no return calls) and an email to both Lee and Tom. Only to get the invoice from a totally different person who doesn't even work for the moving company. When we finally did receive the invoice it was OVER $1,000 what we were originally quoted--without any explanation! Of course several emails and phone calls were made to inquire about the $1,000+ up charges, but to no avail.
