It's okay because some teachers are nice but some are just on my nerves cause they say that you haven't turned in the work but when you said u did they don't believe you
Some of the teachers are actually nice but, those are the ones that don't follow the rules and could get in trouble if i say their names. T the people in the front office are always very nice to me but some of the teachers are just plain rude but, most of the teachers think I am complaining and my feelings are invalid because I am just a kid. There are quite a few gems of teachers that actually care but there are more jerks than good ones and it seems like those bad teachers are the ones with the most power. Also, most of the teachers are extremely biased towards student that they made a snap judgement about and may the lord save your soul if they don't like you!
This school is horrible. It is not safe. All the teachers are just plain out rude and disrespectful as they are cursing and telling kids that they are allowing to skip. Honestly there are a lot of fight and not much it done to restrain the bad kids. What is one or two days or even just lunch detention gonna do to a kid that for written up for bullying? Nothing is going to change. I will not lie there are about 6 caring, hardworking teachers and I give them props for dealing with the work that cones with this school. The school barely had money and nobody cares about how bad the bathroom and hallways are. It always smells bad and no body tries to fix it. JUSY WORST SCHOOL IN HERNANDO!
I am an eighth grader at Powell middle school. I've been going here since the very first day of sixth grade. I came to Powell not looking to be involved musically, Now today I take the superlative of "most musical". Middle school has definitely thrown me some curve balls. Ever since 6th grade I have been involved in both band and chorus. The music teachers are great! Powell has given me many great opportunities in the performing arts portion such as All county band, Music performance assessments, band and choir festivals, and the chance to perform at Busch gardens, Disney world, and Universal Studios. I love this section of the school and will be sad to leave. As for the core classes, Powell, just as any school, has hard working teachers as well as the teachers that don't really care about their students.My personal experience has included both. I am an honor roll student here, and they acknowledge those who are. But most children who struggle can also get extra help offered by some caring teachers. Powell has its days were there are fights. It also has a lot of drama, which administrators don't do much about. Powell hasn't really spent money on anything new since I've been there that I've noticed. Just about everything is ancient there. Many things don't work, and I'm not sure they ever will. Overall, Powell is not as bad as some kids make it out to be. Middle school has been an adventure for the books.
My years at Powell were great! As long as you do your work and focus you'll have plenty of time to talk to your friends. The only problem I had was when I was 7th grade there was no official math teacher for the 1st quarter of school but they finally hired someone later on.
